Base Drone Shop

Base Drone Shop is a “fake-drone” remote shopping system that allows players to buy from any vending machine on the server using a Computer Station UI, with items delivered to their own marked home vending machine after a configurable delay.

No real drone is spawned.
All deliveries are fully simulated, making the system lightweight, fast, and safe.

How It Works

Instead of spawning an actual drone, the plugin simulates delivery by:

Taking items directly from the seller’s vending machine
Paying the seller by inserting the required currency
Delivering the purchased items to the buyer’s marked home vending machine after a delay

If the home vending machine is missing at delivery time, items are dropped at the saved home position.

How Players Use It

Step 1 – Mark Home Delivery Vending Machine

Stand directly in front of your own vending machine and use:

/drone

Requirements to mark a vending machine:

You must be the owner
You must be authorized on the Tool Cupboard
A Computer Station must be nearby (within configured distance)

Once marked, this vending machine becomes your delivery target.

Step 2 – Shop via Computer Station

Sit in a Computer Station near your marked vending machine.

A DRONE SHOP button appears as an overlay UI.

Click it to:

Browse all server vending offers
Navigate pages
Buy items remotely

Important Usage Rules

The Computer Station must be within the configured distance of your marked vending machine.

Purchases require:

Enough currency for the selected vending offer
Enough Scrap to pay the service fee (if enabled)

Base Drone Shop uses a clean CUI-based interface:

Small overlay button while mounted in a Computer Station

Buy buttons
Page navigation
Close button

UI actions are handled internally via console commands.

Commands

/drone
Marks the vending machine you are standing in front of as your home delivery target.

No other chat commands are required.

Configuration

All settings are configurable via the plugin config.

Config Options

ScrapFeePerPurchase (default: 150)
Additional Scrap service fee charged per purchase.

HomeVendingMarkDistance (default: 3.0)
Maximum distance to detect a vending machine when using /drone.

StationToHomeMaxDistance (default: 5.0)
Maximum allowed distance between Computer Station and marked home vending machine.

TcCheckRadius (default: 25.0)
Radius used to find a Tool Cupboard and verify authorization.

MaxOffersPerPage (default: 10)
Pagination size in the shop UI.

Stored in config (displayed text is handled via language messages).

Technical Notes

Offers are built by scanning all server vending machines
Sell orders are read directly from vending machines
Item names are shown using the item’s English display name
Currency is inserted into the seller’s vending machine inventory
Delivery is simulated after a delay
